The Brunea Sand Dunes

A while ago we had a scout campout with the teachers at the Brunea Sand Dunes. It was lots of fun. We started out how we usually start out, by setting up tents.

Then we all stared the fire and cooked the foil dinners and the cobbler.

While we were cooking the foil dinners, we noticed that Bro. Dahl had wrapped up his foil dinner so tightly that the air couldn't escape it, and it ended up looking like this.. .

Later once it was dark, we all played glow in the dark capture the flag Deacons VS  Teachers. We didn't get any pictures for 2 reasons.
       1. It was too dark to see anything.
                                                             2. We couldn't risk getting sand in the camera.

We played it on this dune.

Next we did glowstick pictures of course (and had cobbler).

Then we all went to sleep (eventually).
The next morning we had pancakes and (some of us had) bacon. The teachers left and we set off to go on the biggest dune. But before that, we thought we'd have a little fun...
Yes we did tie and duct tape Alex to a tree, but he was fine with it.
We then hiked up the huge dune.

It was a very great adventure.

That on Kutter's arm is called a Japanese Water Beetle.

We then proceeded to dig ourselves.....
                                      This is Parker.

Um.... I'd rather not talk about this one...

The Apaches

This last Wednesday, our scout troop got to see the Apaches! Mark's older brother is in the military, and let he let us come see them. They were REALLY cool!

We got to see all the parts of the Apaches and learned about all the controls and cool things like that.

It was a very fun scout meeting. (We got some pretty cool pictures too.)

Stake Camping Trip

We had a camping trip with other scout troops in our stake. It was a blast. Right as we got there, we immediately started setting up tents.

After that we ate some dinner and hung out and fun stuff like that.

Kutter and I tried to get a video of a misquito burning up in an electric bug zapper, because at another camp out, our leader wanted us to get a video of a electrocuted bug, but we were never able to, at that camp out. This camp out was a success.

Then we went and did some tug of war with other troops in a really big field.

Later we played with glow sticks and made some pretty cool shots of us flinging them, spinning them, and all sorts of things like that.

Afterward we finally got to go to sleep.

The next morning we ate and then started packing up.

Then some leaders told us we needed to go back over to the big field from yesterday. We did all sorts of cool fun stuff like trying to catch marshmallows with our mouths, having sack races, trying to hit marshmallows over a faraway fence, and other fun things.

It was a blast, and we got a first place ribbon for one of the games. Finally, we loaded up our gear and headed back home....
